MANIFEST
Mayor of Kazan
Ilsur Metshin
According to Aristotle, city is a unity of the dissimilar. People, ideas, meanings, professions intersect and interact there every instant. City is unique, due to its national and cultural identity, a flair of its own urban development, architecture, and the overall atmosphere.
It seems, though, that the new era of questing for synergy and unification - the Unity of Diversity - has arrived. Cities face the same challenges and tasks. In this quest of the best solution, there is nothing more effective than experience-sharing, collaboration and cooperation. Exchanging experiences and knowledge strengthens everyone, helps create a stronger, more interconnected and sustainable world, where architecture reflects values and diversity, uniting people and cultures.
We all want to find answers to seemingly perennial, yet rather practical questions. How to move with the times and develop sustainably while preserving particular cultural and national identity? What kind of cities would meet the needs of all generations? Everybody comes up with own answers to these questions. As a matter of fact, we are not trying to find the single answer. We are looking for an approach that in its diversity can be unifying for different corners of the world.
Rapid BRICS development is the best demonstration of the importance of capital synergy at the present moment - not only economic, but also emotional and human capital.
That is why the IV International Architectural and Construction Forum - Kazanysh-2024 will focus on practical work: meetings, discussions, making arrangements, exchanging ideas, creating synergy between institutions and people from different countries. Concrete agreements, steps and plans. This way every participant will return home not only enriched with new ideas, but also equipped with ready-made solutions for improving the practices of their bureaus, cities and countries.
The Forum of 2024 is dedicated to the theme “Unity in Diversity”. It reflects the energy of our city. Kazan is a place of strength and creation for people from different industries, cultures, and countries. In Kazan new ideas emerges at the intersection of opinions, and world level decisions are made. Within the framework of the “Kazanysh”, we will exchange experiences with foreign colleagues and discuss how the synergy of people, ideas, and resources creates opportunities for the growth of strong cities.
The forum will pave the way for close collaboration between countries in the fields of architecture and urban planning. We will deeply explore the challenges faced by each country and the solutions that experts, scientists, and architects apply in their work. The experience, knowledge, and broad expertise from different continents will make us stronger. Thanks to open and sincere dialogue among people, cities will become more sustainable and human-centered.
